Announcing our Retiree Newsletter

Hello San Diego Retirees!

We here at SDPEBA (San Diego Public Employee Benefit Association) are doing our best to increase member communication as we move toward Open Enrollment in June. Which is why we’re writing this newsletter!

We’ve been posting blogs onto our site since we launched, these blogs focus on your benefits, the SDPEBA team, events, and general health topics. The goal of these blogs is always to educate or entertain (or both), and they’re either written by SDPEBA staff or our vendors.

Going forward, we’ll be handpicking a select number of relevant blogs to send out to retirees once a month so that you can be better informed on what we’re up to!

Who is SDPEBA?

SDPEBA is a benefit association formed between active and retired public employees. We manage different benefit plans like Sharp Healthcare, MetLife Dental, VSP, and Aura Identity Guard.

Our goal is to reduce costs, stabilize premiums, improve benefits, and provide benefit education/support to our members and their families.

We are dedicated to provided amazing customer service so that you can access your plans, understand how to use them, and make changes if necessary.

What is Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is the time of the year where you can make changes to your plans or add additional plans. For retirees it begins on June 1st and runs until July 31st. During that time, we’ll be releasing our 2021-2022 Benefit Guide and we will also be hosting several events such as our virtual benefit fair. Be on the lookout for more information about these in the coming months!

We know how important benefits are, but we also know how confusing they can be. We’re dedicated to helping you access and understand them! Please, if you need anything, don’t hesitate to give us a call at 888-315-8027 or by emailing us at [email protected]. We also have a support page where you can search for specific questions or submit questions for us to write articles about!

Thank you for taking the time to read this! We look forward to sharing more news in the coming weeks!
