Online OE Resources – Newsletters, Magazine, and Websites
Based on feedback from last year’s OE there will be no Virtual Benefits this year. That being said, we know that a lot of our members rely on online content, and we are hard at work on creating dozens of online resources to help you navigate Open Enrollment and make the right choices for you!
Below is a list of what we’re working on and how to find it.
Newsletters
Our OE newsletters come out on the 1st of every month. August’s newsletter can be found by going to one of the following websites:
City: https://go.sdpeba.org/August2023City
County: https://go.sdpeba.org/August2023County
Retirees: https://go.sdpeba.org/August2023Retiree
September’s newsletter came out with this blog, so if you found this article you probably already know about it, but it has a lot of resources that should help you with enrolling!
City: https://go.sdpeba.org/September2023City
County: https://go.sdpeba.org/September2023County
Retiree: https://go.sdpeba.org/September2023Retiree
We will have more information for City/County employees in October and we’ll have a comprehensive guide for retirees in November’s newsletter, so be sure to check your inbox on October/November 1st!
Magazine
Based on feedback from last year we are shifting our focus away from the online magazine, to a physical one that you should be receiving in the mail shortly. This magazine has all the information that you could possibly want when it comes to plan changes, information on each benefit, and how to enroll.
But we know that mail often ends up right in the trashcan, so we’ve also created a digital version of the magazine that you can check out online. It’s part of our OE homepage, and you can find it by clicking here.
Websites
The OE Homepage is the many stop shop for all things Open Enrollment. We put together a page for each of our benefits going in depth with videos, additional articles, and brochures to help you understand how to make the most of your benefits. These pages are perfect for finding out more about different plans and will have the most up to date information when it comes to all things OE.
As a reminder, Open Enrollment officially begins on 9/15 for SDPEBA! The City’s enrollment period begins in mid-October.
