MetLife Legal can Cover your Parents!

MetLife Legal can Cover your Parents!

Do your parents need a will? Or legal coverage? MetLife Legal might be able to help.

Last year we added the MetLife Legal Plus Parents plan, a new version of our existing legal plan that extends some of your coverage to your parents.

Note that this coverage isn’t completely the same and there are some limits, for example your parents cannot use this plan to create a trust.

The current MetLife Legal plan costs about $11 per pay period, upgrading adds $2.50 and brings the cost to $13.57 per pay period for an individual and their parents. This makes it a great deal to make sure your parents are covered for some very important things! Below is a shortlist of what coverage extends to your parents:

  • Help writing or negotiating Deeds and Mortgages
  • Codicils, Complex Wills, and HealthCare proxies
  • Power of Attorney
  • Living Wills
  • Digital Notarization
  • Affidavits and Demand Letters
  • Reviewing any Personal Legal Documents
  • Consultation on Legal issues surrounding: Medicare, nursing homes, prescription plans, and more.

With the Plus Parents plan you and any covered partners/dependents still have access to all the standard options that you can check out on our MetLife Legal brochure, including the 24/7 Legal Help Line and access to MetLife’s team of qualified lawyers.
