If you’re interested in learning more about your benefits, enrollment, or how to best utilize your plans, there’s no place better than the Virtual Benefit Fair. We are hosting two versions of this event, one for retirees and one for active employees, but the valuable information and resources in each are the same. To register, click one of the links below:

VBF FAQ

Do I have to attend the whole time?

No, there’s a listed schedule on the registration page (under agenda), you can check and see which events you are interested in and just attend those. You can even just pop into a booth and ask the representatives questions about specific questions.

If you missed any of the “sessions” (which are deep dives from our representatives into their benefits) you can watch them later by heading to the VBF’s site. We’ll host these videos for the month of June, but after that, they’ll be taken down.

How do I register?

If you’re a retired employee, head to https://sdpeba.org/retireefair/, if you’re an active employee, head to https://sdpeba.org/activefair/. Once there you just must click the blue “Register Now!” button. After that just follow the instructions.

NOTE: you will have to make a password to sign up, please remember this password! If you signed up over the phone, your password will be emailed to you.

Once you’re registered you can add the event to your calendar, otherwise you’ll be emailed a link for access on the day of the event.

How do I access the sessions/Navigate the VBF?

Once the event is live, you’ll have access to a site with three different pages: Mainstage, Sessions, and Expo. By clicking onto these sections, you’ll have access to our keynote speakers, our different events, and our booths.

If you want to get a head start, once you’re registered you can click the link for the event that was emailed to you and then click “speaker.” From there you can click on a speaker and “bookmark” sessions they’re hosting so that they’re easy to access later and will be highlighted in your agenda during the event.

How do I talk to the representatives?

Within the main stage, the sessions, and booths, there is a public chat that you can use to ask general questions, if you have a personal question, you’ll want to head to a vendor’s booth under the “expo” tab and message them directly. To do that, head to the vendor you want to speak with, click message on the right side, and you should be taken to a private chat with that representative. To double check, be sure the representative’s name is at the top of the chatting window.

Where do I find brochures and other resources?

During the event, you can access all sorts of resources by attending sessions or by heading to individual booths. You can also request materials by messaging the vendors directly.
