SDPEBA’s New Life Insurance Platform

We’re always looking to provide more options for our members, especially when those options are effective, simple, and reasonably priced. This is why we partnered with Ethos, a life insurance platform designed to get you a custom quote from the comfort of your own home. This plan has been added on top of our existing hand-made life insurance platform and our Aflac whole life insurance plan!  

What’s Special about Ethos 

Much like Aflac, you’re able to apply for the life insurance you want online. There are no medical exams or blood tests, just a simple survey. Based on your answers, you’ll be able to get a quote instantly and if you like it, you can have a policy ready within 2-5 business days. 

Unlike Aflac, this is an individual plan, meaning you’re able to customize it to your specific needs and wants. On top of that, the rate is determined by your health, age, and gender, meaning you have more control over your premiums.

How  to Sign Up 

You can follow the instructions in the video linked above or follow the written directions below.  

First, you’ll want to head to Ethos’s site by clicking here. Follow the directions on the screen and answer the questions in order to get a quote. 

 

If you like what you see, click on “apply” and answer a few questions (the average completion time is 6 minutes). Ethos will then look into your history to get a DMV report, a prescription report, and review your MIB health profile to evaluate your risk.  

Once they’re finished, they will contact you directly. They might ask a few follow-up questions or you might just get an email with your approved plans. Simply follow the instructions in the email!   

Once you have received approval, you will receive a call from one of their Life Agents to review your approval and assist you with setting up your automatic payments (credit or debit).   

And… That’s it! So, 6 minutes to fill out an application, 2-5 days to be approved, and a couple of minutes to set up your electronic payments, and you are covered!
