What is the Aflac Life Insurance Plan?

We all know that life insurance helps protect our loved ones for the long term, but there are so many different types of Life insurance to choose from. Also, there are always exams, rising costs and other hurdles that make it hard, confusing, or simply impossible to obtain. This plan makes it extremely simple for eligible employees to obtain life insurance that they can depend on.

Employees can obtain Aflac’s Whole Life insurance plan with coverage ranging from $5,000- $300,000 dollars.

What makes this plan simple to understand is that this is a fixed rate plan. That means, that no matter what, your cost will never increase over time due to retirement, birthdays, a major diagnosis, or you leave employment This plan will follow you wherever you go and the cost will remain the same.

Currently we can offer this plan without any medical questions asked or medical exams to complete. That means that Employees can get up to $100,000 in coverage without any worry that they can be denied or asked to pay a higher price. Please note the guaranteed issue portion of this plan has only been approved for this year, 2021.

Spouses and domestic partners are also able to get a plan without any questions or exams but are limited to $25,000 in coverage. Children can get up to $25,000 too, but a few medical questions are asked.

Another great option is the Child Term Insurance Rider. This provides all your dependent children with $10,000 of coverage (without answering medical questions) until they reach the age of 26 for one low price. Please note, that in order to get the term rider for the children, the employee must enroll in at least $10,000 of coverage as well.

Here are some highlights:

  • Guaranteed Issue – no denials as long as you are currently an active employee.
  • Prices locked if for the rest of your life. No increases.
  • Coverage starts the day you enroll, not the plan effective date like the other plans.
  • Coverage never decreases or is terminated due to claim history or age.
  • Coverage for children, spouses and domestic partners is available.

Recommendations:

First recommendation: Employees with Pre-existing conditions: For 2021, these plans are GI and there are no restrictions on pre-existing conditions. So, if you have a medical condition that would make you more at risk, or unable to get coverage anywhere else, then this is a great option.

Second recommendation: Anyone who may be retiring soon: The plans you are offered by the county, are great plans, however they may have some restrictions. The plans offered through Aflac do not increase and rates are locked in when you purchase them. What you pay now is what you will pay in the future. Once you retire, you are not able to enroll in Aflac.

3rd recommendation: Anyone who is young: The younger you are the less you have to pay. The rates are locked in at enrollment age, so you can keep that low rate for ever.

4th recommendation: If you have any grand-kids or children that you would like to provide a financial gift to: Many employees mention to us that they just want to get something small to provide their kids or grand-kids when something happens. Until now, we did not have a viable choice for them, but now this plan is perfect for those situations.
